Well, we’re now into the second week of April (still haven’t figured out how that happened!). I hope you’re all enjoying the springtime! I thought it’d be a great time for a book update!!
Am I the only one who thinks that’s exciting? Surely not!
Anywho! Here are my favorites out of all the books I’ve read in this first quarter. I’ve added a link to their Goodreads page, so you can add them to your account!
No need to thank me! Oh, and a note – please do not post any spoilers for any of the books/series mentioned in case others have yet to read them. Thanks!
Voyager, by Diana Gabaldon
This is book #3 in the Outlander series, which I’m currently reading. More about Claire and Jamie and it is just purely fantastical! I don’t know how one book can encompass so many subjects (timeless love, time travel, adventure, danger….the list goes on!) and is constantly riveting!
She’s Gotta Be Mine, by Jennifer Skully
This was a truly unique find! In a nutshell, Bobbie Jones decides to win back the affections of her almost-ex-husband by following him to a new town and decides to make him jealous by flirting with the local hermit.
Who is also reputed to be a serial killer.
Don’t miss it!
Mischief in Mudbug, by Jana DeLeon
This is actually the sequel to Trouble in Mudbug, both in the Ghost-in-Law series. Naturally, this book continues the misadventures and witty dialogue of Helena Henry amongst the bayous of Louisiana! This one delves more into the world of Sabine, Maryse’s best friend. I’m looking forward to reading the third book, Showdown in Mudbug!
No, I never thought I’d read it, but curiosity got the better of me! It was actually better than I thought. She covers topics such as her relationship with her Mom, living in the spotlight and the circumstances surrounding the disintegration of her first marriage and meeting her current husband. I was surprised at her honesty, and it was interesting to read about her side of issues that had been in the spotlight.
Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy, by Nora Roberts
Ahhh, the Inn! This was one of those series that I couldn’t put down and hated to see it end! The renovations of the local hotel bring about many happenings in the town of Boonsboro! Read all three enchanting books: The Next Always, The Last Boyfriend and The Perfect Hope.
I’ll be back with my new picks for the next quarter (unless find something I can’t resist tell you about!)
What are your picks so far this year? Let me know in the comments!
